CL Picture - Zircon Cathodoluminescence(CL) image of zircon grains from the Old Woman granodiorite, Mojave Desert, southeastern California. Yellow-green CL regions are magmatic overgrowths of Mesozoic age(~72 Ma), and bright and dark blue CL regions are inherited Proterozoic cores which range in age from 1.4 to 1.8 Ga(Foster et al., 1989; Miller et al., 1992).
